Environmentally Friendly Business

At dFloor, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. We buy the majority of our timber from European forests and wherever possible, source wood that has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

The growth in popularity of real wood floors has led to a commitment to cultivation. Many more trees are grown than are currently harvested, so increased demand has had a positive effect, with many managed forests planting two trees for every one felled. The 'carbon sink' effect of wood products has a role to play in the reduction of greenhouse gases. Increasing the use of wood will help us to reduce this effect in the atmosphere further.
